Film Distribution

We Get the Deal Closed

We negotiate deals for international and domestic distribution for all rights including theatrical, television and home entertainment.  Film distribution is a critical part of the production process not only for an audience to see the film, but also as a part of financing.  Investors and/or banks will require the film to have an "exit strategy" which is distribution for the film.  They want to ensure their money allocated during production will be paid back and potentially make a profit.  Through effective marketing of your film to distributors, we get the deal closed.

Taking You Through the Process

There are many creative ways to distribute your film.  We work with our clients to determine the best solution for distributing the film in the marketplace.  We encourage merchandising and product placement as a part of the distribution factor and help arrange negotiation for such profits.  Our goal is to maintain a long term relationship with clients achieving success together.  Every film produced and distributed builds success for the next project.

Some common mistakes that filmmakers do to mess up their film.

Common Mistake #....

  1. Rushing to finish for a film festival deadline.
  2. Legal clearances.  Clear everything! Paranoia is the best policy.
  3. Wear too many hats.  Taking credit for doing everything including your own publicity makes you look naive and inexperienced.  Delegate and budget correctly so your film doesn't sit on the shelf.
  4. Bad or weak script.  Film is about storytelling so tell a good story. Hitchcock was a writer first, director second.
  5. Poor sound.  Sound is a big part of the film experience and the audience will get irritated when they are not able to follow a storyline due to bad sound.
  6. No money for marketing.  Half the battle is getting your film made, but now you have to sell it.
  7. Trying to do it all without a team.
  8. No strategy.  Have a focus and stick to it.
  9. Budget correctly.  Be realistic and get help if you need it making sure you estimated right.
